I got my new CoreDuo 20 incher a few weeks ago and i am surprised apple just put 512mb of ram in there

Anyway i am looking to buy 2Gb of ram for it but there is quite a price difference when looking at pc4200 vs. 5400. Is the difference really worth the money??

The machine will probably work with slower RAM than it is speced for, but not necessarily well. Go with AT LEAST the speed of RAM specified.

The machine should work fine with the slower RAM (the chipset supports PC2-3200 through PC2-5300), it will just be slower in memory-bound tasks.
