[FONT="Comic Sans MS"]Hello, I am looking for some help with my iMac, I bought some new sound sticks in replacement of my JBL creature speakers and the sound sticks are not working

When I go to help it tells me to check system preference>sound and select the output as external speakers, but the only option in there is for built-in audio? Where am I going wrong? I tried to re-attach my creature's but now they are not working either
If anyone has had this problem or anyone who knows how to fix it, then I would be eternally grateful!

Odette x

p.s my ex-boyfriend set up the creatures on it - hence why I haven't a clue!

The creatures are easy, no driver needed- they plug into the headphone jack.

The sound sticks are USB and used a driver that was built into OS X, and therefore are harder.

Do this, go to Applications, Utilities, and open Apple System Profiler.
Click on USB.
See if the computer even detects the sound sticks as connected to the computer?

Thanks for the advice, however there is no USB plug with the sound sticks, they are sound sticks II and have only got a headphone jack?

Oh, better.

Simply stick the headphone plug in the headphone jack on the computer. They should work perfectly.
