All of a sudden my internal modem is not working, which is a pain if you want to fax something. It's been a while, actually, and I BELIEVE it may have started after I had to unhook everything to put in a new video card. I have the phone line going form the machine to a jack in the wall, which is split for both DSL and the internal modem.
This is an older machine, a 400 MZ G4, upgraded to 933 MZ. It's frustrating to have it not working, plus it's costing me more ink, as I now have to print out everything and send it via stand-alone. Thankfully, many people do e-mail. But still...
I'm wondering if there's a way to test th emodem to see if it's even working. I'm going to pull the wire and try a new phone wire, to see if it's maybe as simple as that. In the meantime, anyone know how to determine if the wiring is actually getting through?
