With the Intel iMac in the normal viewing position, what is the distance from the top of your desk or table to the bottom of the screen?

7 1/4" to the bottom of the screen, 3 1/4" to the bottom of the casing. Mine is the 20" version; not sure if that makes any difference. i don't think it should. Can I ask why you are curious?

Trying to decide if my bifocals would cause a problem since the screen is not up/down adjustable as my G4 iMac is. Might make a difference if I went with a Mini and the Apple 20" display.
Thanks for your time and the reply.

It appears (to me??) to set lower. I have no measurement on that as yet.

I too have bifocals, and haven't encountered any troubles. It also depends on how high your desk and chair are. Cheers to you, and enjoy your new machine!
