I am looking for an external IDE enclosure for a hard drive. I was hoping to find one that would match the iMac's beautiful white color. I found a bunch that match the aluminum of the PoweMac but none for the poor iMac. Any recommendations, possibly FW instead of USB.

I am leaning more towards aluminum (for heat dissipation) but color matching the iMac.

The closest I've seen is this... now if only it didn't have the giant logo on top.

Hows about one of those Mac mini matching drives - would one of those match the base/stand?

Is the footprint of the base/stand the same as a Mac mini? or at least close...

you think manufacturers come to this forum to see what the people want? . . . if so . . i'd like a Apple Chair with a swingarm to connect the iMac on it and some speakers portruding out of the sides and the woofer underneath the seat . . .and some footrests for race pedals or just for comfort and another swingarm for the keyboard and mouse . . . any manufacturers out there? i have a drawing of it . . .

Other World Computing has a nice aluminum enclosure that matches the G5 PowerMac. It can be ordered in a dual Firewire/USB flavor.

I actually have the "Metal Disk Drive" enclosure that mduell posted the link to. You can reverse the top lid to hide the logo if it bothers you, you just undo the four screws and flip it. Its a pretty nice drive case it even has blue lights (I guess it makes us Mac folk abel to trick our computers like all the PC users).
