Can I upgrade my PPC processor in my Mini to an intel processor? This may be what people are talking about in the "merom" forum, but I could not tell if it that is an upgrade for the new Intel macs or if it is something I might consider. I only vaguely understand the technical language.

In laymans terms: The PPC speaks a totally different language to Intel processors. Its not as simple as swapping out the processor from one type to another, as the rest of the system is built to work with a specif chip, in your case your mac mini has all the right stuff in it to be able to correctly talk to the processor.

As I suspected. A question never asked is just one more thing unlearned. Thanks for your courteous response.
