Thought I had run across instructions for doing this several weeks back on one of the forums. Spinning wheel on the G4; repair solutions proposed by helpful members didn't solve the problem so thought I'd try this. According to Apple, a FireWire card can be installed in my G3 mini tower.

Thanks.

Two problems with the post.

1) Apple has never released a G3 minitower, or a G4 minitower. All the desktop G3s and G4s have either been iMacs, desktop G3, or full towers.

2) Your post doesn't state a question or request specific help. I'm glad to hear you're going to try this, but the 'thanks' on the end implies you did want some help on something.

Let us know the result, it's always nice to hear when things work out. Or otherwise, and we'll try to help.

Sorry. It's a G3 beige tower. The implied request, as you surmised, was for how-to instructions once I receive the FireWire card and get it installed.
