Hi folks;
Hope someone has experienced this problem. I have a G4 1Ghz eMac with 384mb RAM. It had OS X Jaguar which I recently upgraded to Panther without any problems.
I decided to attempt putting Tiger on it and am having some difficulties. When I boot off of the DVD, instead of getting the usual Apple logo and "spinning wheel" icon, it just stays at a gray screen. I've let it sit there for as much as 40 minutes with no change.
I did the usual resetting of the PRAM, ran disk utilities (repair permissions and disk) and held the "c" key down just to be sure. None of this helped
Another Mac aficinado suggested the RAM might not be enough, but 256mb is the minimum to install so 384mb should at least get me started.
Any help is appreciated

.
Thanks!
Dan
