hi

I am unable to boot of an OS8 cd when I hold down the c key on my all-in-one performa

I then took the drive out of the performa and connected to my powermac so that I could install it from there

but my powermac (blue & white) is also not booting from the OS8 cd -could the fact it has OS9 installed on it stop it from booting the OS8 cd?

PS- it is proper full Mac OS8,5 install cd

any ideas?

Have you tried cleaning the disc (if it's dirty)?

On the PowerMac, It shouldn't matter which OS is installed...
