Front row not workin on intel mac mini?

My friend bought a new mac mini with intel core duo. He 'migrated' all his files from G4 iMac without a problem.
then when he was excitied to use the "Front Row" with remote and learned that it's not working at all?
Any clue why??

youre not really telling us much. what exactly isnt working (ie. describe how its not working)?

It worked.. but not the remote?? the remote is brand new?? Could it be the battery?
