So since I had a heck of a lot of troubles with the MBP I returned it to the apple store and got full credit on it.
So I decided to get the Intel iMac instead but they did not have the 256MB Upgrade for the video card and they basically don`t know when they`ll be getting them.

So my question is should I wait for the 256MB Video card or is the 128 Good enough???

I of course will also upgrade to 2GB DDR RAM and probably buy an iPod since the MBP is $1000 more expensive than the MBP.

And I just also wanted to know if there are some bugs or downside to the iMac since the MBP is a big dissapointment in my oppinion. From what I read on the net most bugs with the iMac seem to be minor and most people say that the biggest one is that the wireless drops the connection after comming back from sleep. Hovever this won`t be a problem for me since I`ll use the ethernet directly.

Another thing that actually bothers me a little is that people claim that their superdrive isn`t working. It either doesn`t burn or recognise empty disks. Is that true or is that just with some?

Thanx in advanced for some suggestions and clarification.

Buy the iMac online at apple.com - that way you'll get the model you want.

Get the iMac, if everyone was having problems with the superdrive don't you think it would be getting a huge amount of publicity? Many people use cheap disks and that can lead to the problems.

Well unfortunately I can`t buy online. I have store credit and was told that I can only use it in the store. Luckily a new apple store is opening in Toronto on May 6th so I`ll be going there to see if they have what I want since the other store in Yorkdale has no clue when they`ll be getting one.

The people who work there are like 15 and have no idea about anything.

I am 15 and know a lot about Macs. As for the SuperDrive problems, they should verify and repair disk permissions. I know a new Intel iMac user who has not had any problems with his iMac. For the video card, what will you be using it for? 128Mb is plenty for many games and apps, but if you want to play a game like Doom 3 or Quake 4 a 256 Mb graphics card would be much better.
