Hi,
I have a Power Macintosh G3 300MHz / 768MB of RAM (One stick didn't "like" it) / 20GB HDD / ATi Rage 128 16MB / DVD-ROM (upgraded, bootable) / ZIP / No modem. When I plug in my KOSS headphones (which work) I do not hear any sound from them, at all. If I unplug them, I hear sound from the built-in speaker. Mac OS X 10.4.6 can see that I have haedphones plugged in (in SysPrefs). I don't know how to fix this. Also, this computer belongs to NSCC (chain of community collages in Nova Scotia).

thanks,
cavenba

..it sounds like a hardware issue. You could try plugging in another external sound device and seeing if you get better results, but it's unlikely. Any sign of physical damage to the headphone port?
