i was wondering, could it be possible to put System 7.5.3 on my iMac? because i just wanted to for the helluv it. if it is, how can i get it to work>?

No iMac model can run System 7 natively.
However, you might be able to run it under one of the virtual machines or emulators out there, like vMac.

Perhaps through emulation, but never as the main OS.

In a way, too bad. I'd love to see how fast System 7 would be on modern hardware.

System 7 will run on upgraded hardware though. If someone had an old PowerMac like the 9600 with a G4 upgrade card, they could try it out. I've run system 7 on Windows using the Basilisk II emulator and on a fast computer it takes about 4 seconds to boot up. It has a certain minimalist charm, too.

i remember back in the day someone installing OS7.5.x on a Powerbook G3 (Pismo) .. which came even later than the first few imac revisions ... i can't remember how, but i did see pictures of it
