Hi Everyone I have the old Mac Mini 1.42 & I was wondering what upgrades are available. I know that Memory can only go up to 1GB supposedly. I'm pretty satisfied with my Mac Mini so I don't want to go buy another Mac Mini Intel version to keep up with the trend. So I would like to upgrade my Mini as much as possible. The best that I can get. Thanks

You can upgrade the memory (1GB DDR333), disk (160GB 5400RPM or 100GB 7200RPM), and optical drive (8x DVD+/-R, 4x DVD+R DL).

I'll most likely go with the highest GB storage space. I had also hear the video quality on Mac Mini is pretty low I think 32 i'm not too sure. I recently made the transition from PC to MAC. Is there anyway to upgrade the Video to a higher level?

you CAN over clock the g4 mini's...in fact there was an article in macworld or macattic showing how to do so. i remember the highest speed reaching only 1.5 so i dont see a reason why you would do so...:/

well you could still do some cool stuff with a mini...my cuz has one and he has an isight hooked up to it so he could video chat, and a wireless keyboard with the front row hack (not really a hack) so it works just the same as an intel mac mini sans remote. he also bought one of those hard drives with the same footprint as a mini and installed tiger on it, so now he could store up to 500gb of media on it. you could also get a nice monitor to spruce it up a bit, the mac mini g4 still has some life in it, contrary to what most people say on these forums.
