hi guys,

i bought a new 200GB harddisc to replace my just-K.O 80GB harddisc, i attached the both harddisc to the Mac QuickSilver even the old harddisc, hope to be able to recover it using some utility & i can copy/backup the data onto the new harddisc.

but when i try to install OSX 10.4 on it, & i view it with DisK utlity(from the OSSX installer DVD) , it only show 120GB available,
i went to partition option, hopefully to reveal the hidden 70+GB space but i got no luck, i try setting into 2 partitions what it did was taking the 128 & divide into 2.

so 1st part of my question:is it true that QuickSilver G4 733mhz, it's maximum HD space (supported)maximum= 128GB only?

A1- if no, what should i do? to make the rest of the 70GB+ shown/visible, which i can use.
A2- If yes, is it a hardware limitation? or it's firmware limitation.
A3- if it is Firmware, any patch/hack to make it real/use 200GB?

2nd part of question:
B- is it safe/OK to use this harddisc this way, as it's mourt/use/visible only 128GB, & have the rest of the 70GB+ invisible/useless/unseen.

thanks.
