TITLE CORRECTION: installing OS9 onto ex-pc disk

hello
I am trying to install OS9.2 onto a 2.3GB hard drive that was taken out of an old pc

I succesfully initialised the disk with drive setup

however when I try to install the progress bar stops about a third of the way along

and this happens everytime

is it possible there is still a DOS partition on the disk?

any ideas?

Title fixed for you.

No, there's no chance of a DOS partition being left: Drive Setup does not allow you to create mixed Mac/PC disks.

As to what the problem might be: try installing with no peripherals attached beside the keyboard, mouse, and display.

Also, if there's more than one stick of RAM in the system, try taking them all out except for one stick.
