Hi
I am putting a dual 450 G4 back together- someone just gave me a 17 inch apple CRT monitor with an ADC connector- Now the graphics card I have installed is bog standard and features a digital socket but its not an ADC. So my question is can I get a graphics card with ADC which fits in the Dual 450 G4? If so can anyone recommend one thats good?

Any advice woul dbe gratefully recieved. Thanks

You are probably going to need the DVI to ADC connector.

You will probably have to search on eBay or something for one. There are a few converters out there but they will only with with the Cinema Displays as they are digital and the display you have is analog.

Hi Thanks for the reply- my monitor is this one: http://www.everymac.com/monitors/app...lay_17_cl.html

Could I not add a graphics card with ADC? like a Radeon 9000?

Thanks again.

Yes you can do that. I don't know how hard it is to buy a video with an ADC connector though. I remember back in the day you could only buy the video cards from Apple.

It looks to me like the previous owner switched the graphics card- every description of the dual 450 G4 says it has an ADC port on its ATI graphics card- Thanks again.

What model is it? Sawtooth, Gigabit Ethernet? You should be able to pick up a Rage 128 Pro 16MB with AGP pretty cheaply, say $25 or less.
