does anyone have a guide for troubleshooting g4 hardware issues? From front to back?

We can't really help if you don't give us an explanation of what the problem is, there is no definitive yes/no answer for a problem, trial and error is usually the way to finding a bad part unless the Apple Hardware Test or Panic log states the problem.

I have an 11mb PDF file which shows breakdowns and troubleshooting for G4 towers up through first generation quicksilvers. It's actually very good. email for info. averageweirdo@gmail.com

The great thing about the G3/G4 case is its accessibility. It's really easy to work on all the components, and from that standpoint it's the best design Apple has ever produced.
