when trying to burn to a DVD, I get the error message,
"the device drained its buffer without burn underrun protection".
I'm using a G4 flat sceen iMac with 1GB RAM. The system hard disk has 14GB of free space. The secondary hard disk, where the disk IMG file resides, has 139GB of free space. I am running no other applications other than DISK UTILITY when attempting this.
Going to Console, I find the following messages:
Disk Utility: Burn started, Tue Jun 6 21:02:32 2006
Disk Utility: Burning to DVD-RW media with DAO strategy in PIONEER DVD-RW DVR-104 A227 via ATAPI.
Disk Utility: Requested DVD burn speed was 1x, actual burn speed is 1x.
Disk Utility: Burn underrun protection is supported, and enabled.
Disk Utility: Burn failed, Tue Jun 6 21:02:51 2006
Disk Utility: Burn sense: 8/00/00 Blank Check, No additional sense information
Disk Utility: Burn error: 0x80020060 The device drained its buffer without burn underrun protection.
The device drained its buffer without burn underrun protection.
I tried running Onyx 1.7 in order to reset permissions. This did not help.
I checked that my Superdrive has the latest driver update. It does.
Any suggestions?
