I've been doing some thinking and wondering what is next for Apple. As we all know, come Aug. we'll see the new Mac Pros, but what are going to be in them? Processor wise, we've got that figured out for the most part. However, does anyone feel we'll see the first Blu-Ray recorder?? "This is the year of HD." Jobs stated in Jan. so I'd say that can be a realistic accessory to the new power towers.

How about HD (1080p) movies on iTunes, since first reading about this possibly happening I've been checking ever day for updates. I personally think this would blow anything and everything away when it comes to renting or buying movies. Currently there are about 30 titles in HD-DVD format ranging from $35-25. Who hear would pay $20 per month to download as many HD movies as they'd like, and burn them onto Blu-Ray discs.

Why even bother burning them onto Blu-Ray discs when you got your Mac Mini synced with your HDTV. I'd love for Apple to come out with a high-end Mac Mini with at least one HDMI port. Screw Tivo, I'd buy those new Mac Minis in a heart beat. Of course Apple would have to upgrade the graphics. If they ever release new ones such like I said, I'd want to play games on it. Through bootcamp so I can play games I already own, only if they had a better g-card.

Now what the hell is going on with Apples new line of laptops. After seeing a video online just a few days ago of someones MacBook getting up to 119 degrees on the bottom, who the hell would buy it? Don't get me wrong, I'd love to have one right now rather then this slowly dying Dell Inspiron 9100. I can't use my 9100 on my lap, so I planned on buying a MacBook for myself and GF once they came out, but you can't even use them on your lap with the heat problem. Rev. B might fix this problem but what if it doesn't! The state of Apple depends on these products being as user friendly as possible, not being able to use them on your lap (in my eyes) aren't very user friendly.

Well anyway, back to work. Thanks for listening (or reading) my crap.

I think Apple is unlikely to go with Blue-Ray DVD drives in the first Intel Macs. The first Blue-Ray DVD drives will be expensive and Blue-Ray DVDs have to be read on Blue-Ray DVD drives and players. Since there are not many Blue-Ray DVD drives and players out, you're limiting who can read the DVD you just burned. Apple is likely to stay with normal DVD drives for awhile as both normal and Blue-Ray DVD drives can read normal DVDs.
