i have a g3 that OS X will boot but no files will work. I can't open anything except the finder (cant open system prefs.)

Is there a way I could find out my firmware. I am buying OS 10.3.7 and I want to know if it will work because I dont have an OS 9 CD to install the update from. (i have no cd to restore and find out)

It is running OS 10.0.4. Does that mean it has already been updated?

Please reply, urgent.

You have already created a thread on this issue. Without any OS installation discs, there is virtually nothing we can do.

In the future, please refrain from cross-posting. Excess threads will be locked.
