I was thinking of selling my G4 to buy a Macbook. What do you think my computer is worth?
- 1.25ghz PowerMac G4
- 1gb DDR SDRAM
- ATI Radeon 9000 Pro
- DVD ROM
Has anybody ever sold a G4 tower on ebay? I’ve had problems trying to see a laptop on ebay in the past. (People from Nigeria kept buying it and trying to scam me).

You could restrict your auction to the US. I have sold a couple of things that way ( Microsoft junk).

the market moves quickly at times...particularly w/ new product introductions...
The week before the announcement, or the intro of newer versions of your machine they are worth more than after...
just watch ebay for similar items....and move quickly: the Core 2 Duo desktops are due soon....piling on top of the G5s will just make your situation worse...though less worse proportionally than if you were unloading a G5.

On another note, I wouldn't limit selling to anyone....I just wouldn't ship until I had the money in my account. I wouldn't refund until I had the original back in my hands...but there are probably some sophisticated scammers out there in any part of the world.

Yeah what dont you understand? I said DVD rom so people wouldnt have to ask "does it have a superdrive?"

Probably about $750. You should check eBay for similar items and see what they're selling for.
