Here's the situation. I am selling my dual 2.0GHz Powermac G5, the OS disc that came with it is OS X10.3 Panther. There is a clean Tiger install on the machine but I no longer have the tiger disc. I can buy a Tiger retail disc on ebay for around $80. Is it worth buying it just to sell the Powermac? I just wonder if I'll get a lot less for it if there is no Tiger disc included in the auction. So my options are:
A) Buy the disc and include it in the auction

B) Don't buy it and mention in the auction that a Tiger disc is not included and if the buyer wants to reformat they will need their own Tiger disc.

Which is the better option?

B) And give them the OS disc that it came with.

B.

There's nothing wrong with selling the machine with Panther System disks, just let them know that the system disks it comes with are Panther (10.3).

I don't think it will effect selling price nearly enough to spend the money on buying a new disk. Just fully disclose what is on computer and what disks you will be providing.

Buying Tiger wont add $80 to your auction price, so you will end up making less money. Sell the machine with the 10.3 disks.
I free'd my mind... now it won't come back.
