Hi. I just bought a Powerbook 3500 "kanga" on ebay. It came with a docking station. I searched all over for a picture of the back but couldn't find one. What exactly does the docking station do? Does it add usb? Thanks!

edit: was this supposed to go in the Peripherals forum? oops. could a mod please move this.

Basically all your cables are attached to the docking station, so you can quickly "dock" your powerbook when you are home and have everything connected, and then undock it when you leave. no need to pull out every cable etc.

It does not add any features (e.g. USB) it just makes it much easier/quicker to set up your powerbook when you get home.
I free'd my mind... now it won't come back.

This is the PowerMac forum. Mason247, I've noticed a tendency that you start threads in the wrong forum. There is a PowerBook forum which is obviously the right place for a topic on a PowerBook G3 Kanga (nice machine by the way, it was my first Mac).

Closing ...
I don't suffer from insanity, I enjoy every minute of it.
