I have a Sawtooth G4 with full drive bays, a 1.4Ghz processor upgrade, and now an ATI 9800 AGP Pro coming as well so I can have Quartz Extreme and run FCP 5.1.1.

I'm going to need to replace my power supply very soon to feed more juice into the machine. Any recommendations, as well as links for product info? Thanks for the asssitance.

Would anything from Fry's Electronics be ok? Or are the motherboard connectors different?

Well the ATI 9800 Pro AGP came from OWC today. I installed it in the G4 and it worked ok. I removed a SCSI card and an editing card that is now incompatible since I upgraded the machine directly to 10.4.4 from 9.2.2.

It booted up and with my processor upgrade the thing absolutely flies. Now power issues yet. I removed a hard drive as well to reduce the load. So we'll see.

If you do wind up needing to upgrade your PSU, there is info here about modding PC ones:
