Hi all,

all of a sudden, my 3 months old iMac does not start. After pressing the "on" button on the back, only the "on" light on the front right turns on, but nothing else. No hard disk sound either. I tried resetting the SMC, as shown on Apple web (http://www.info.apple.com/kbnum/n303446), but this did not solve the issue.

thanks for your help!

I had the same thing happen to me, except it was with a 3 month old powermac, the light in the front stays on and there is no power to anything else. It turned out to be a bad power supply for me.

Hope things aren't as bad for you as they were for me, good luck!
I miss the days of the G5 and XPS Pentium 4 running side by side as high-end machines.
