Hello all of you mac gurus. I just recieved my new RAM from newegg and need help on installation. I have never ever ever done maintainace on a computer before. Everyone says it soooo easy. I pretty much understand how to install the RAM from looking at the guide but what about testing it? I did not know you are suppose to test it. I found this out when I read the reviews on the RAM when I was shopping around. How do you test the RAM?

Basically you don't need to test RAM unless you get bad RAM which means that your system will randomly crash or that you will get three beeping sounds at startup.

The only testing you need to do: If bad things start happening (crashes, panics, freezes), then take the memory and see if they persist.
