I want to setup a moodle/drupal server at school for my classes. Moodle is OSS course management system (like blackboard, but OSS). They don't have any extra computers lying around and are tight wads on buying me one, so I figure I will get my own. However, I don't want to spend a bundle. What should I look for? I am thinking PowerMac G4, but would I need dual processor? Also, I am thinking min 768 ram. Any spec/model suggestions would be great. I wish I could find another PowerMacG4 733 for $140 like I did few months back on CL.

How many users? How much traffic?

If it's you and 5 buddies, an original iMac will do. If it's a 5000 person student body, you'll need a few Xserves.

It will just be for my classes. I will likely have around 175 students.
