I currently use an iMac G5 with 2 gigs of memory. I just ordered a Mac Pro 3GHz with 8 gigs of memory. I’ve been hearing that my CS2 applications will not run that much faster on the new Mac Pro. Does anybody out there have any experience with CS2 on the new Mac Pro, and will my CS2 applications run faster on the new machine?

Thanks,
Michael

CS2 isn't Universal Binary, so it will run but comparatively slowly. When Adobe update their apps to work properly with the Intel Macs, they will make proper use of the newer machine.

Steady on with the RAM there. Are you going to space in the thing?!

a 3ghz MP would be as fast or faster than your current imac G5 even with rosetta. once a UB version of CS hits the market, your machine will fly. you could always install bootcamp and run the pc version of CS at native speeds if you wish (i wouldnt though).
NOW YOU SEE ME! 2.4 MBP and 2.0 MBP (running ubuntu)
