A Mac Pro will be my first Intel Mac. I need to run Boot Camp on it for some Windows software. Will this work on the Mac Pro? In essence, I only need to run Quicken since the Mac version does not include the same features as the Windows version.

I may also play flight simulator on it.

What would I be better off with - Boot Camp or Parallels?

Any problems with either of these on a Mac Pro?

I can't speak for the flight sim [it may have some higher end graphic requirements] but Quicken will definately be OK in Parallels. As of today, from what I know neither Parallels or BootCamp fully work with the Mac Pro [it may be a few days/weeks before they do]. Mac Pro is after all only a week old now.

I still havent read up on Parallels. But it sounds like it runs simultaneously, and you can switch between OS's. But with Boot Camp you have to reboot into your secondary OS, right?

No 3D acceleration in Parallels, so the flight sim is a no-go. You'll need bootcamp for the games. Quicken will run just peachy in Parallels, though.

Paralles is virtualization software [faster version of emulation]. Windows run in a container of sorts.
Most desktop apps run at blazing speed. You dedicate memory to each virtual machine you want to run. From the user perspective, the apps are running like they would in windows [on my MBP with 1GB or RAM give to the VM, Windows runs better and is more responsive than it is on any other PC I have used].
