I am considering buying an iMac, and after doing some searching online, I have been unable to find the iMac dimensions I am looking for.

I would like to know the length of the 17" and 20" models, as well as the height from the base of the foot to the base of the machine.

Thanks, this would be much appreciated.

Thanks, but does anyone know the height from the base of the foot to the base of the machine?

Using a picture from Apple's web site and some shaky calculations for scale, I've estimated it to be around 3.38 inches. (I'd imagine it'd be about the same for both models.) Can someone please confirm this information?

Thanks again.

If it's 5", that'd be excellent. My desk has a part that rises up where you can put a printer or some other stuff, so the main part of the desk can only comfortably hold a regular 17" monitor, so the iMac, 17" or 20" would hang off the side.

The 5-inch difference might be enough, though, to slide it over the raised portion of the desk.

/me is very happy now.

It also depends of the angle of which you have the screen at. If it is pointed down, it will be less, if it is pointed up, it will be more.
