Hi,

i have a cd stuck in my intel imac. On boot, the unit has a white screen, and doesnt boot... while the drive just makes a 'searching' sound...

I urgently need to boot this unit.. any tips?

I've tried holding the mouse.. didnt work

It may boot if you leave it a while. You can also try holding down the mouse button on startup.

You can try forcing it to boot in OSX by holding down the X key at at startup. Or hold down the alt key immediately after the startup chime to bring up on screen all the available booting options, including OSX on your startup disk.
