Estimated Ship:
3-4 weeks

Specifications

Two 3GHz Dual-Core Intel Xeon
2GB (4 x 512MB)
250GB 7200-rpm Serial ATA 3Gb/s
ATI Radeon X1900 XT 512MB (2 x dual-link DVI)
Two 16x SuperDrives
Both Bluetooth 2.0+EDR and AirPort Extreme
Apple Keyboard and Mighty Mouse - U.S. English
Mac OS X - U.S. English

Subtotal $3,765.00

I'd like to share how excited I am about ordering and to thank all of your for helping me build this setup.

I'll be ordering a 23" ACD around the time that the Mac Pro ships, so that I don't have this moniter sitting around wasting it's warrenty away, while i'm waiting for the computer.

I also like how it says 3-4 weeks now instead of 3-5 weeks.

Anyway, thanks again, and i'd be happy to perform benchmarking tests and such once I get the computer.

Just PM me with what you'd like me to do, and i'll send you back the results.

Thanks

I have almost the exact same thing on order (I only have 1GB of RAM). The wait is absolutely killing me...

3-4 weeks isn't too bad to get it early....but if you put them on the same order, and ever decide to get applecare, you can put them under just the one plan. If they aren't on the same order, you would need to pay extra for the monitor to be covered.

Granted, you might also get coverage from a 3rd party, or credit card, or the like, so this might not be important to you.
Too many Apple/Mac products to even bother listing!

I've ordered it now! How long ago did you order? What's your estimated ship date? Mine says Shipping by September 18, delivered by September 25th.

That's a month away!!!!!!!

I ordered on the 8th, but made a few changes to the config a few days ago... My estimate is the same as yours.

If you want free AppleCare for your displays, you have to order it with your Mac, though. (BTW, AppleCare is missing, I would recommend it.)
I don't suffer from insanity, I enjoy every minute of it.

My computers don't get problems thank you very much.

I'm sorry but I get very defensive when i'm told things that conflict with the rules that i've created for myself in my reality.

I don't get computers that go wrong in the first three years of purchase. It's that simple. My dad bought applecare for my G4 tower 2 and a half years ago, and not only I never had to call apple for a problem, I never even had to fix a problem myself.

If something is gonna go wrong in 3 years, it'll go wrong in the first year. That's what I say, and it's been true for me so far.

Thanks for the concern though.

I'm fairly certain that apple will ship the Mac Pro's much sooner than they say. Like maybe September 10th or something.

How can that be? If you ordered 10 days ago? What was the estimate when you first ordered?

Could it be that apple is gonna ship them all at once, and it doesn't matter whether you ordered a month before they ship, or 2 days before they ship?

That's the exact same setup i'm getting, except for the CPU, and I didn't order my moniter yet.

I just placed my order. Have to wait 3-4 weeks for the machine but the ACD will ship within 24 hours! Awesome.

That's why I didn't order the ACD yet. Unless you have a machine you're currently using, that you can use the new ACD with, it's kind of pointless to order it at the same time.

Yeah, my PB can use it, if only barely. Also I get AppleCare with it, that's a good reason to order it with the Mac.

Understandably I hope not. But I don't think we'll see anything new until at least Macworld in January.
