does the drive bay matter for the boot drive in the 4 bay macpro?

are all the speeds and access the same ornot?

are the drive bays easily numbered?

My new macpro comes next week

ill put in a 2d 16mb buffed drive and boot from that and would like to know if its position matter

I don't think it does matter which one you put them in, BTW - I read someone in another thread moving his drive to the rear of his machine so that he wouldn't hear it. *Not* certain, though. Hopefully someone else will chime in with a definitive answer.

That's your third thread on harddrives in the Mac Pro, how about just one thread with all questions instead of three threads with one question each?
