I am thinking to buy an intel iMac...

but a question popped up...

When I select an iMac and then next page comes up is "Customize your iMac"... I dont see anywhere I could change from KB/mouse to wireless KB/mouse? Even though all intel iMac are included with bluetooth in it.

???

How can I change it? Or I have to make a seperate order? That's ridiculious.

It is ridiculous. Unfortunetly apple hasn't made it a BTO option on the iMac, why? Im guessing because theres an update in the near future. I bought my keyboard and mouse both seperetly, it sucks because usually the keyboard gets to you first then the imac, then the bluetooth mighty mouse...

Okay, did they do that in the past? I wasn't paying attention to it.

well the way i see it...they used to offer the regular one button bluetooth mouse and bt keyboard for less than buying the two seperately due to it being an upgrade. since the mighty mouse bt came out, this option seems to have dissapeared...probably because there are no discounts on the mighty mouse bt to date, not even a school discount. im sure apple is trying to dry the tap before letting the mighty mouse bt go for less than $70...lame.

Apple are either waiting for the next release of the iMac or working on a revision to the iMac's system software image. The current iMac ships with 10.4.4 and the BT Mighty Mouse requires you install the drivers from the included CD in order to program the mouse's buttons, among others. Apple is not going to ship a wireless mouse with a computer that requires drivers be installed before full functionality can be attained. Not gonna happen. Apple will probably roll the drivers in with 10.4.8.
