I'm not usually one for speculation but ATI is coming out with the X1950XT, it looks like the updated release date possibly the 14th of september.

Here's my question what is the likelyhood of the mac community seeing this card anytime soon. In the past there was a delay between the unveiling of new video card and seeing the mac edition version hitting the streets (sometime we never saw a mac edition).

I am now a proud owner of a Mac Pro

with a nvidia 7300. Its no slouch but my short and long term goals is to order a x1900xt and I understand the issue of always having a new faster computer (or component in this case) coming around the corner. The 3-5 week wait for the order does mean though I'll be waiting for the x1900 when the x1950 is announced and being unannounced pricing and availability is the big question.

Any thoughts, pearls of wisdom?

The X1950Xt is going to be only MARGINALLY faster than the x1900XT. Save money, time, etc, buy a regular x1900xt, then buy an aftermarket cooler from arcticcooling...it will cool your card better (allowing for overclocking), and it will be a lot quieter.
