In short, my school has a PowerMac G5 Dual 2.0GHz 2GB RAM 250GB HD computer and needs a ProTools setup. We already have our auditorium wired with microphones leading to a soundboard (which I don't know how recent it is or if it'll link with the computer).
What does my school need to buy to record live audio band concerts on the computer? Do we need a new M-Audio soundboard? Are there any cables we might need? What software specifically should we purchase?
Weblinks would be incredible. Advice would be nice. If I can find out before tomorrow morning, excellent (don't ask about that odd thingie).
