A quick disclaimer. I only uses windows PC's. I can work my way around one without problems. I know how to use a computer well, even a mac, but I won't know some exclusive terminology, so you might need to give me the full path or whatever.
Here's the story. I got my dad a Intel iMac for his birthday, feburary. So far he's been pleased and it's been mostly problem free however, today it won't start up. I ask him for details, he says that he installed a "update from intel" before it stopped working. This probably means that it was just an update for intel macs, and he didn't bother to read the details. Anyway, the apple logo comes up, the flower thing starts spinning, and well, it doesn't stop.
It boots fine into windows
So far i have tried checking the disk and it's permissions, fixed a few permissions but they didn't look too important anyway.
Is there perhaps a revert option? A safe mode maybe, where i can run a sort of system restore?
Help appreciated, thanks in advance.
