I just got my proc upgrade. Went from 400mhz to 1.5Ghz. Everything is better.

Slight frustration: I pulled the heatsink off my old machine, and one of the screwheads was stripped. I can only imagine the over-zealous mac assembler putting chips on motherboards and just going a little crazy. Fortuantely I had a screw driver that I could use to get it off.

Slight excitement: Apparently OWC is out of 1.4 Ghz chips, so they sent me a 1.5ghz. Sweet.

I've got almost the same rig (which my daughter has in her room at the moment).
PowerMac G4 Gigiabit Ethernet with a 1.4GHz OWC Mercury processor upgrade, 1152MB RAM, 64MB Radeon 8500 Pro, Pioneer DVR-107, 60GB HD, 17" Apple LCD Studio Display and MacOS X 10.4.7.
Handles OS X quite reasonably.
