Hi all,

I'm a total Mac noob but I'm trying to fix this emac for a charity.

This emac has a screen that freezes but the mouse is still movable but nothing can be clicked on the desktop. No icons, no menus, no windows, etc. The mouse is that hockey puck model and the keyboard has a caps lock that still lights up.

I replaced the RAM w/ a 512MB PC2700 stick. Any ideas on what the problem could be?
