So...I'm excited. I'm going to the Apple Store tomorrow to purchase a Mac Pro. Was planning to get an iMac, but I don't want to have to buy an entirely new computer in two years. As I see it, the Mac Pro is very upgradeable, so I won't need to buy a new computer for many years. Are there any issues I should be aware of with the new system? I pretty much only need the standard configuration, and I don't want to wait for an online order. The only things I want to add are Airport and Bluetooth. Are these things I can install myself, or can they install these before I leave the store tomorrow? Please give me some last minute advice! I've learned a lot from you guys. Thanks so much!

I don't think you can install the Airport & Bluetooth, but they can at the Apple store if they have the proper kits.

The only issue I've heard of is that the Hard Drive bay one can have problems and you'll need a new logic board. other than this, it's problem free so far.

way i see it airport (wireless internet) and bluetooth have become staples of the computer industry. so they should have models that actually have this in stock. if they don't then i think your apple store is behind the times.

Whether WiFi and Bluetooth are industy standard and within consumer expectations is one thing. Fact is, Apple's stock "recommended" model does not include WiFi/BT and you'll have to hope the Apple Store's staff have the parts in stock and can install it for you.

Ryn, I agree Apple should have made this option standard, but it's not.
