If you bought a ICD mac mini with the combo drive, is it possible to upgrade to a Superdrive down the road?
My initial guess would be "no" because where would you buy the drive?

You could get a laptop DVD writer and put it in there if you're technically savvy enough. It's not meant to be upgraded, though.

Yes, but it would void your warranty if you do it yourself; you can pay an Apple Authorized repair place to do it.

The superdrive in the Mac Mini is a standard laptop DVD writer which can be bought from nearly any computer hardware store.

I'd suggest just getting an external . . . . most likely it'll be faster and you don't void any sort of warranty
