Windows convert.

New computer coming, including Office for Mac. Other than that, I will use for email, browsing and streaming content, music and eventully video transfer/editing/storage.

I do have a few games that my kids like, that may stray over to bootcamp. I read about partioning your drive for bootcamp etc. How big should I set up the partition? It would be Windows XP and some room for kiddie games like Lego Star Wars. Any precautions? I want to retrieve most of my email data, and some data files from my dead PC. I plan to do that by putting my old disk drive in an external drive box, then tranferring any needed file.

Anyone have opinions or options I should do when starting from scratch in the iMac world?

If you have a 160gb drive, give Windows 20-30gb and that should be more than enough for the few games you might want to run under XP. Though Lego Star Wars has a Mac version if I recall.

Since the mac will see your PC drive externally, you can easily copy over any data files you want or need. Programs will have to be re-installed from original media.
