My 20" iMac Core 2 Duo is only a day old, and its hard drive already needed repairs, according to Disk Utility. It was able to fix the "minor" problem with the volume header. Should I worry?

Also, call me crazy, but I could swear that the hard drive on this puppy is noisier than the hard drive in the Core Duo iMac this computer just replaced. Am I just paranoid?

So you're crazy. But Disk Utility telling you there are problems on your NEW machine that it can't fix is a Bad Thing. Call Apple now.

But Disk Utility WAS able to fix the problem. So I guess it's okay, albeit a bit unnerving.
