imac help-can't mount images to burn CDs

am getting errors 95 and failers to mount image on attempts to burn cd's
software restore wont load and nothing appers on desktop to show an cd in tray
am running a g4 with osx 10.2.8
cant seem to mount image on anything so... lol help!!!
