From Apple

"Two independent 10/100/1000BASE-T Ethernet (RJ-45) interfaces with support for jumbo frames"

Can I ask how these might be used? My router is running out of ports, and if I could use one of the ports on the Mac Pro to connect directly to my NAS, and the other directly to the router, that would be great news. Also, all the other devices on my network would still need to be able to access the NAS. Is this possible without more hardware?

Yes, you could do that. For the other hardware to see your NAS, you'd have to turn Internet Sharing on and share from the NAS port to the LAN port, then open your firewall to the appropriate ports (whatever protocols your NAS is running). Your NAS would be offline if your Mac Pro was sleeping or shutdown.
