I'm thinking my Mac Mini might be dead...

The machine crashed last week while in screen saver (nothing big but it does crash a lot when showing screen saver for several hours)

So I force rebooted the machine and I got the blinking "?" folder... I tried to reset Pram and the power manager but no luck.. From there I placed in the Restore CD and the machine would not boot from CD and when I tried booting with the option key held down it couldnt find any disks. So then I booted off the CD rom on my Macbook (using firewire disk mode) and the install cd could not locate the hard drive or the cdrom drives on the mac mini. And the apple hardware test showed nothing wrong when run...

After trying everything software related I took apart the mini and put it back together and got the same errors. Next I bought a new hard drive riser card for the mini and installed it, but still the same errors.

I'm completely run out of ideas. Does anybody have any suggestions?

The machine is a base model first gen Mac mini G4 1.2GHZ(i think) with 512 Ram.

No one has any suggestions?

I'm really hoping for something simple that I just overlooked...

I think that I should move this discussion to the marketplace..
