Hello again, and I only left a few days ago

After swapping hard drives around a bit I decided one of them needs upgrading. It's a tiny 10gig "stock" hard drive and it's awful slow. I have a spare Atlas 10k IV 36gig sitting here and an ATTO SCSI card. I'd like to be able to somehow transfer ALL of the files from the 10gig to the Atlas, including the OS, and have it boot from the SCSI. Is there a simple way of doing this? Is there a program out there you know of to do it? Freeware is prefered if avail. I'm keeping up the search but not finding a heck of a lot.

Thanks for any help!

Do you have both drives mounted? if so use carbon copy cloner (check macupdate.com for it)

Make sure to click "make bootable" in the preferences.

That will clone the drive, if your machine supports booting from scsi then you should be all set.

I second the vote for Carbon Copy Cloner. It can be a bit slow, but works great.

yep CCC will do the trick, I use it all the time notta problemo, but the real question is whether or not your machine is scsi bootable, and if ATTO has OS X drivers available for the card you have......... if so, you should be good to go
