Hi, First post here - I´m looking into buying a Mac Pro for software development, today I use Windows XP64 + Visual Studio 2005 coding in C & assembler. I have been making some research regarding OS X and found that it seems to "like" memory, the question is how much memory is needed when using Xcode ? is 1GB enough or do I need more ? I´m probably using Xcode , a browser and listening to music simultaneously.

I'd go with no less than 3 GB RAM. That's what I consider the usable minimum for any Mac Pro configuration.
Linkinus is king.
