Hi there guys, I am new to this board and I wanted your advice.

I have been using PC all my life and very recently my notebook packed up and I am thinking of buying a new one. My girlfriend has a Mac and has convinced me that its the way forward. I have been to the Apple shop a couple of times to test drive the mac book pros's and I must admit I was impressed.

I spent little time thinking about it and decided I want the 17" Mac Book Pro even though it's going to cost me £2,000.

What I wanted to know is whether any of you guys knew of any updates/new models coming out to replace the macbook pro? I just dont want to invest so much money in a machine that is going to be out of date by Christmas.

I was also thinking of waiting until the OS X Leopard comes out but I realised I cant afford to wait that long.

Please help me, thanks in advance.
